Lost, and Through

I really don’t
know what to do
Seems I’m at a loss
with you
I’m scared this time
I’ll lose my mind
I really don’t
know what to do
I’m at a loss
without you
I’m scared this time
I’ll lose my mind
We come in waves
small beginnings
terrible ends
I really don’t
know what to do
seems we are lost
and through
Im scared with time
I’ve lost my mind
I really don’t
know what to do
Seems we are lost
And through
Im scared with time
I’ll lose my mind

Meaning and Reason

I search my mind's frozen memories
I find scenes there buried
Scales of time
Past lives I...
Once was a dragon
With silver green patterns
And eyes like red lanterns
Scratching circles in the sky
But now bills pile high
On my green ugly counter
And I'm on the couch
With that fucking TV buzzing
I search my mind's frozen memories
I find scenes there buried
Scales of time
Past lives I...
Once was a gypsy
Who fled Hitler's city
Through barbed wire and snow field
To the free lands beyond
But now I drive taxis
For rich men unhappy
Who stare out from nothin
While my radio drones on

The reconciliation of dreams
It seems silly
A contradiction of themes
Strung together willy-nilly.
Defiant of logic
Yet emotionally sound
Infinite mystery
Can astonish and dumbfound.
Parallel lives
Spread across the multiverse
Lucid yet elusive
Uncanny and absurd.
Events over time
On an XY graph
Plotted points on a chart
Simply spelling out a past.
And if I’m the sum of my histories
Than factoring this misery
Should be as simple as
applying maths.
And that on any given point
Across that line
Means a unique set
Of associated memories
At any given time.
So when you ask yourself what it means
To have memories
Of unknown people, places
And non-existent things
When emotions are as real
As real can seem
It’s just all predetermined
From the wave function
Of dreams.

He believes that art does not come from inside but rather from the outside through; taking what is there, breaking it apart, and reassembling into a new yet familiar form. Drank takes an existential approach to the notion that all art is created with the fundamental purpose of connection and communication. ... more
